Americans think September 11th proves the greatest threat to the United States is from foreign terrorists. But the attacks on Fraunces Tavern, Oklahoma City, and the Boston Marathon were all executed by domestic terrorists. Blindness or denial is an Achilles' heel. Is your husband, brother, father, or best friend a terrorist? Could they be part of a conspiracy that puts you and everyone you love in danger? No. No. They are law-abiding American citizens who would never hurt anyone on purpose.
How do you plan and execute a terrorist attack so devastating it makes Americans tremble? How do you prevent the vast law enforcement resources of the United States from discovering your plans? What can you do to ensure that no American feels safe, anywhere? The Mayan calendar mysteriously ends on December 21, 2012. Doomsday prophecies are everywhere. Would that be a good day to trigger Armageddon?
The most dangerous people are the ones you suspect the least. Is there a hidden side to that man tenderly holding your baby, his baby; or to that friend letting you sob on his shoulder; or to that dad who taught you right from wrong and kissed you when you scraped your knee? How do you find a terrorist who leaves no clues? He could be anyone, anywhere. He might even be your partner, helping you investigate the attacks. The most devastating acts happen out in the open and are perpetrated by the people you least suspect. Who are they? Where are they?
Remember the nightmares you had as a little kid? What if those nightmares were a glimpse of another dimension, a dimension of pure evil? What if the evil souls from that dimension could use you to cross into our dimension? Could you stop them?
Remember the nightmares you had as a little kid, the ones with the gray boogie men in white coats? Perhaps they come back from time to time. Although troublesome, you ignore them, writing them off as things from your childhood simply reminiscent of times long passed. But what if they are not nightmares at all? What if they never were?
Regularly, Marilyn Olsen is experiencing what she remembers as childhood nightmares. Barry Davidson, her neurologist friend, refers her to Emily Franklin, a psychiatrist who already has patients experiencing the phenomenon. Emily discovers that she has a unique connection to Marilyn. But she is not sure why.
Emily takes a sterile scientific approach to uncovering the reason for the night terrors. With the help of several individuals, including Marilyn and Barry, she finds that the night terror episodes are not dreams. They are indeed real. But they are beyond scientific explanation. They are unbelievable, but their impact can be and has been immediate and life-threatening.

Iran, or at least the Iranian government, had aspirations of again building a Persian Empire. Those plans included the destruction of Israel and the control or annexation of every country in Southwest Asia. As soon as Iran had an atomic bomb, every country in the Middle East would be subject to its wishes.
Once again, Israel faced the possibility of annihilation. And, like in the past, it stood alone against an unpredictable adversary. While the United Nations and the superpowers of the world ignored the Iranian threat, Iran continued to build its nuclear capabilities. Although it insisted that its nuclear program was peaceful, Iran now had more than 300 nuclear-related facilities spread across the country. Some, like the light water reactor in Bushehr, were in plain sight and served a peaceful purpose. Others, such as the uranium enrichment plants, the heavy water plant, and the heavy water reactor, hidden in the mountains or deep beneath the desert or in caves, could only serve one purpose: to develop nuclear weapons. Iran was making plans to conquer and, perhaps, no one could stop them.
