Under Surveillance - overview

Our arrogance leads us to believe that we can detect any object approaching Earth from outer space. Yet, routinely, meteors are often first found when they get very close to Earth. Scientists insist that it’s because meteors are small and do not emit any distinctive signature. But an artificial object could not approach without detection. It would likely be massive and require enormous power.

Chameleon is an artificial object. It is a massive space vehicle operated by a civilization on a planet twenty-two light-years away. This civilization has the technology to hide anything it wishes to hide. They hide Chameleon. They conceal their planet. They hide their solar system. 

Chameleon approached Earth without detection. For six months, it has been on the surface of the moon surrounded by secret bases belonging to the United States, Russia, China, and the European Union. All the bases know about each other, but none know about Chameleon.
